Also, no need to worry about leaks. The pump can deliver 2.5 SCFM of air at 90 psi. Maximum pressure is at 155 psi. With this pressure level, it can definitely perform tire inflation and powering of tools. The pump is also made of aluminum for durability. It is lightweight which adds to its portability.

The motor of this Husky 3 gallon air compressor H1503TP is powerful with an output of 1.5 HP. It has an automatic start/stop feature which allows for a better regulation of power and pressure. The air undergoes a single-stage compression to ensure enough power and compressed air that is free from dirt and other particulates. It can run nailers and staplers but should be not be overused. It can even fill a truck tire in a few minutes.

The tank has a 3-gallon capacity. It is made of steel and is ASME certified. Because of its small storage capacity, it is only ideal for light-duty tasks such as the following: air brushing, blow cleaning, brad nailing/stapling, hobby nailing, hobby painting, and inflation. The tank has a pressure gauge which provides accurate readings. It is hotdog-styled making the air compressor very compact.

It is very user-friendly. The push to connect fittings allow for easy one handed operation. The controls are oversized to the user can easily read them. The unit automatically shuts off at 155 psi so no need to worry about overheating. The ballcock drain valve of this unit is much better than the screw type valve of other models. The unit works faster than other models with the same tank capacity.

Getting parts for this compressor is a nightmare. The motor is only available with the pump and is waaaay to expensive. It makes more sense to just buy a new one. I’m selling mine for parts.

Hello, I own the H1503tp air compressor and it overheated because a plastic bag was blocking vent😳😳 it won’t turn on. The on/off switch lights up only. I didn’t find a reset button. The motor turns easily. Any idea what is happening? I really appreciate you.

This safety feature is designed to prevent damage to the Husky H1503tp air compressor when it overheats.

Based on the information provided, a few things could be happening:

      1. Thermal overload switch tripped – Many compressors have a thermal overload switch connected to the motor windings that will trip and cut power to the motor if it overheats. This acts as a protective circuit breaker. Try unplugging the compressor and letting it fully cool off for several hours, then plug it back in to see if it will restart.

      2. Motor or starter capacitor damaged – The overheating may have damaged the motor windings or the starter capacitor. You’ll need to have an electrician test these components for damage. A damaged capacitor is cheaper and easier to replace than the whole motor.

      3. Compressor pump seized – If the pump seized up due to overheating, it likely won’t turn and could explain why the motor won’t start. Try turning the pump pulley by hand with the power disconnected to check for binding. If seized, the pump may need rebuilt or replaced.

Checking the oil level, cleaning dust/debris from exterior vents, and ensuring proper ventilation can help prevent overheating issues in the future. I’d start by letting it fully cool off and trying to restart, then have an electrician inspect if still not working. Let me know if you have any other questions!
