Husky 8 Gallon Portable Air Compressor, TA-2530B

Are you looking for an air compressor that is long-lasting, reliable, and efficient? Search no more because Husky 8 Gallon Air Compressor will definitely fit your needs.

Unlike other compressors which are oil-less, the pump of this air compressor is well-lubricated with oil making it function more effectively. Even though it is oil-lubricated, the air compressor is not high-maintenance because it has a durable cast-iron cylinder that works perfectly well with synthetic oil. Also, you can use Husky 8 gal air compressor for hundreds of hours without having the need to change the oil.

Husky 8 gallon air compressor is unique because it has an automotive-style filter that most oil-lubricated air compressors don’t have. The filter traps contaminants, dirt, and other particles that may clog the pumps. It can be easily replaced when the time comes that you need to do so. You will know when you need an oil replacement with the clear oil window that gives a good view of the amount of oil that you still have. Since the pumps are lubricated, expect oil residue outside the compressor.

It is a great match to your DIY tools because it can deliver 4.0 SCFM and run up to a maximum of 125 psi. Although this is not the ideal specifications for heavier tasks, this power output is enough to run your air tools. From simple spraying to nailing and framing, Husky 8 gal air compressor can do the trick. You can easily fine tune the pressure because of the regulator that can be manipulated with ease. The motor automatically shuts off at 125 psi and would only require a minute or so to get refilled.

If other models of tanks are made of aluminum, this one is made of rugged steel. Because it has an 8-gallon capacity, it weighs 69 lbs. and is heavier than the 4.6 gallon tanks. However, it was designed to still be portable. With its 6-inch diameter smooth-rolling wheels, you can easily transport the tool from one place to another. The height of the handle is appropriate even for people who stand more than 5 feet tall. Compared to the 21-gallon model, it can be squeezed easily into your work space.

The built-in induction motor of the air compressor runs at 1.5 HP. It is quieter than other models but still produces a certain level of noise. Because it is an industrial style motor, it offers a more reliable service and stronger output. Draining moisture from the tank is now more convenient because of its ¼ turn tank condensation drain valve. Not all air compressors have this valve so consider yourself lucky when you buy Husky.

This compressor is junk! And I bought this model from Home Depot about a year ago before they discontinued it and they would not honor the warranty and would not take it back or stand behind what they sold me. Yes I could not find the receipt but had my manuals and did not to ask for a refund. Just for them to make it right. Will not purchase another husky brand tool..

Sorry to hear that, Thomas. Could you tell us more why you aren’t satisfied with this Husky 8 gal air compressor?
Have you tried to ask Home Depot to reprint your receipt? If you purchased it on a card, the store can look up the card # and should be able to locate the record for you.

My Husky TA-2530B has been unreliable from the start. I bought it about 4 years ago at Home Depot. In the 1st few days, the tank pressure guage failed. Husky replaced it free.

The air stream from it was never consistant. It acted like it was short of breath, not a steady flow of air. Ok for pneumatic tools, but not for blowing. Upon inspection one day, I discovered it was a crappy regulator. I replaced it with the one from my dead Emglow that gave me over 20 years of reliable service. That immediately cured the problem. A bad regulator!! Unfortunately, this was after the limited 2 year warranty.

Just yesterday, it wouldn’t pump beyond 80lbs psi and didn’t shut itself off. I discovered a leaking gasket at the base of the pump cylinder. In my opinion, I’m a professional and I need my compressor for work, this is a very premature failure.

My Emglow did the same, but not until over 10 years of use. This only after just over 4 years.

Very poor reliability!! My recommendation is to buy a more reputable brand and do independent customer satisfaction report studies before spending your money.

I’m highly dissatisfied in this compressor.

The compressor is not showing the pressure, or delivering the air. How do you troubleshoot? Please advise…

i have just purchased a husky model TA2530B. The box had been opened and then box tape closed. When i got the unit home and opened the box back up some one had taken the complete air filter and the oil fill plug i do have compressor oil. these places of business when finding someone opened a box must inspect the contents to insure someone has not takes parts from the contents.

Obviously, I should have read reviews before buying this Chinese piece of junk. My air hose blew apart after two days and knocked my glasses off. YOU ARE LUCKY i had glasses and it didn’t hit me in the eye with full force. You were once an American company making quality products. Now, you are just an offshore whore selling crap under a once trusted name. I hope President Trump targets you for moving all of your manufacturing to China. Taking my 8 gallon back to Home Depot tomorrow and paying WHATEVER I have to to buy American. And I won’t shop at Home Depot for it this time.

Having difficulty finding parts on line for the TA-2530B Many websites list the model but have very few of the parts available. I need a valve assembly. Since Husky compressors are made by other manufacturers, perhaps the original manufacturer lists the parts. Can you tell me who made the TA-2530B? or direct me to someone who would stock the valve assembly?

Cannot find a source for parts #35-060 (head gasket), 35-061(upper cylinder gasket), 35-062 (lower cylinder gasket) and 11-004 (valve assembly) for my HUSKY air compressor model TA-2530B. Please advise. Thank you

My ta-2530 began lugging the motor after 1 yr. At first when the outside temp was below 50 degrees. Now it will not spin if there is only 30 psi of air In the tank at any temp. This is all in a 1-3 yr period. Thought that a new start capacitor might cure this? Any ideas?

Hoping to find parts (57) 43-017T and (58) 44-001A. Website have part numbers but no option for ordering. These compressors are similar to junk DVD players, disposable!!! Cheaper to replace with a quality item than repair.

My 8 gal TA2530B will stop running and I will have to unplug it for 1 minute then when I plug it in again it will start. Why does the compressor do this?

This TA2530b 8 gallon of mine suited my needs for about 2 years, after that a couple of the parts in the cylinder head cracked. Now it doesn’t maintain any air pressure, the compressor has about 5 hours of use on it. I had higher expectations but, the Chinese stuff just doesn’t compare to ours.
